Italy’s top Mountain Course exponent Stefano Bonetti, latest upcoming TT tenure will see him form part of the Team ILR rider line-up.
In addition to racing R1, R6 Yamaha’s for Team Consonni, Team Gomma, Bonetti’s Super Twins TT tilt, sees him reunited with Paton’s fabled S1-R steed.
Aprilia powered for last June’s Bennetts Super Twins encounter, the Castro speedster in prior years had represented the Paton brand, which first originated in 1958.
Fifth within the Twins race stint of 2016, he went onto finish one place better in 2018, finishing just under ten seconds behind fellow Paton pilot Michael Rutter.
Senior Classic Manx GP runner-up back in August, the first Italian North West 200 winner in history, there is no denying the obvious speed, talent, astute race craft of the racer affectionately known to many as ‘Bonny’.
Could 2023 prove the year when he joins the TT rostrum finishers category?
