TT 2022: Italian Star Bonetti Confirms Presence

Already established as unquestionably Italy’s most successful Mountain Course competitor of the modern era, the ever cheerful Stefano Bonetti has revealed recently that he is Manx shores bound again in 2022.

Fifth, fourth respectively aboard works S1, S1-R Paton steeds within the Lightweight TT encounters from 2016 and 2018, the genial Italian for next year’s Super Twins TT, will switch from Paton machinery to Aprilia’s highly rated RS 660 model.

Set to also tackle the 1000cc encounters, he’s aiming to bolster a TT CV which presently includes the following:

* Three top six finishes
* Eight top 15 finishes
* Twenty four top 20 finishes
* Personal best lap speed – 127.07 mph

In addition to TT 2022, the reigning FIM European Hill Climb Superbike Champion’s following season plans include venturing back to the North West 200, the Classic TT and potentially sampling selected IRRC (International Road Racing Championship) rounds.
