Terlicko: Race Day Round Up

A mix of wet, damp and dry conditions embarked upon race day at Terlicko, which saw memorable performances a plenty from event specialists, rising continental European road stars and newcomers such as Shaun Anderson.

The seasoned TT competitor, wrapped up a second roads success of 2017, with the Kramer Motorcycles team, having held off a solid challenge from Daniel Zornweg, to claim Super Mono victory.

Libor Kamenicky finalised the podium finishers, whilst Super Twin honours went the way of Optimark Road Racing’s Xavier Denis.

Established amongst France’s leading pure road racers, Xavier is in rich vein of form, having impressed at TT 2017.

Super Twins winner at Kopcany, David Hanzalik finished second, 3.5 seconds clear of third place finisher Marek Stibor.

Two strokes wise, Michal Savinkov and Martin Sedlo wrapped up the 125 GP and 125 SP categories respectively, as Petr Kunz commanded the 250 CRR class, in front of Boris Korcak and Pavel Matus.

At the beginning of a sparkling hat trick of wins, Horst Saiger’s first race win of the day, saw him seal overall Classic race honours, on the Egli Vincent.

Remaining class honours within the race, where secured by Marek Vrana (Classic 175), Libor Kaderka (Classic 250), Vitezslav Hatan (Classic 350) and Karel Matus (Classic 750).
