Ten Questions Challenge – Tommaso Totti

Ninth within the Ultra Lightweight Ulster GP encounter of 2014, an excellent seventh in the Newcomers A Manx Grand Prix of 2010, Rimini’s Tommaso Totti is the next racer to take part in Road Racing News worldwide popular, ten questions challenge.

Established amongst Italy’s most recognisable, highly rated pure road racers, his answers to the popular series of questions are as follows:

Q1: Favourite National Roads Meeting?

“For sure the Manx Grand Prix, best experience of my life on a racing bike.”

Q2: Favourite Racing Bike?

“Honda 125 Grand Prix. I love the two strokes and in particular that bike, I bought a used one and prepared it for the Ulster Grand Prix. Was a huge emotion to race at Dundrod with that bike.”

Q3: What’s the best part of competing on the roads?

“The thrill of riding faster and faster on the road during a road race is fantastic, better than any short circuit in the world.”

Q4: TT, North West 200 or Ulster Grand Prix?

“Ulster GP is a fantastic event and I loved racing on the Dundrod circuit. Never raced the North West 200 but the circuit lay-out doesn’t attract me. TT is still my biggest dream, maybe one day.”

Q5: Most Respected Rival?

“I respect every rider especially when they beat myself, because it is a big push for me to improve my riding and become faster.”

Q6: Best roads moment thus far?

“First lap on the Isle of Man, Mountain Course in 2010. I’ll never forget that emotion!”

Q7: Is their one place or country in the world, where you would like to see a roads meeting held?

“In my country in Italy. In the past there were a lot if International Road Races at the time of Pasolini and Agostini. Also in my hometown Rimini.

Unfortunately today there are just very short hill climbs and I don’t like them. I would like to see again real road racing in Italy.”

Q8: Who’s your road racing hero?

“The Dunlop family, I think the made the history of road racing and made bigger my passion for road racing.”

Q9: Supersport or Superbike?

“Superbike, faster is better!”

Q10: Pole position or fastest lap?

“I would prefer to win the race, been the fastest for just one lap is good but for me isn’t enough. So I will answer hat trick: pole, fastest lap and victory. Guess I cheat the question!”
