Senior 500 race winner at last years Pre TT classic road races, additionally in 2017 a very creditable 12th in the Senior Classic TT, Greenall Racing mainstay Steve Ferguson is the next racer to take part in Road Racing News, ten questions challenge.

Q1: Favourite National Roads Meeting?

“Pre TT Classic road races, run by the excellent Southern 100 racing club.”

Q2: Favourite Racing Bike?

“My Greenall Racing Honda 500/4.”

Q3: What’s the best part of competing on the roads?

“For me it’s the ultimate motorcycle racing challenge.”

Q4: TT, North West 200 or Ulster Grand Prix?

“Only ridden the Mountain Course plus I love the Isle of Man as a place. So TT it is.”

Q5: Most Respected Rival?

“I respect all my rivals but Barry Davidson is class and a gentleman, but a special mention as well must go to Jamie Coward, for his 110 mph lap on a single cylinder Manx Norton at last year’s Classic TT. What a boy!”

Q6: Best roads moment thus far?

“Last year’s Senior classic race win at the Pre TT races.”

Q7: Is their one place or country in the world, where you would like to see a roads meeting held?

“I think the Isle of Anglesey could be a good place for a road race.”

Q8: Who’s your road racing hero?

“Steve Hislop”

Q9: Supersport or Superbike?

“Not ridden either, but there’s still time!”

Q10: Pole position or fastest lap?

“I’ll take pole position, gives you the confidence of knowing you are the fastest man out there, providing you with the confidence to win the race and probably set the fastest lap as well.”
