Part last year of the inaugural The Peoples Bike Team Manx GP ‘Rising Star’ project, Kendal’s Stephen Parsons is the next rider to take part in Road Racing News, ten questions challenge.

Third in the 2017 Newcomers A Manx GP, plus a rising star at Oliver’s Mount, his answers to the popular series of questions are as follows:

Q1: Favourite National Roads Meeting?

“Got to be Manx Grand Prix, never thought I’d get to race around the Mountain Course and it didn’t disappoint, best 2 weeks of my life.”

Q2: Favourite Racing Bike?

“Cagiva GP500”

Q3: What’s the best part of competing on the roads?

“Got to be the feeling of being inches from walls and hedges, at 100 mph plus.”

Q4: TT, North West 200 or Ulster Grand Prix?

“TT”

Q5: Most Respected Rival?

“Got be Matt Stevenson, were good mates, got the best of him in most races, but he’s always right there just waiting for me to make a mistake, it’s always good racing against your mates.”

Q6: Best roads moment thus far?

“Got to be finishing third in last years Newcomers Manx Grand Prix, never thought that would happen, went there aiming for a 100 mph lap and came away with a 118 mph lap, which was mega.”

Q7: Is their one place or country in the world, where you would like to see a roads meeting held?

“Maybe Vietnam, remember watching Top Gear when they went there on bikes, and from this thought their roads would be mint to compete on, in particular on sports bikes.”

Q8: Who’s your road racing hero?

“John McGuinness, local lad and just an all round legend.”

Q9: Supersport or Superbike?

“Superbike”

Q10: Pole position or fastest lap?

“Think fastest lap, always good knowing your the fastest.”
