Holder of the 70 plate for the RST Superbike, Royal London 360 Quantum Superstock and Pokerstars Senior races at TT 2018, the ever enthusiastic Paul ‘Potchy’ Williams is the next racer to take part in Road Racing News, ten questions challenge.
Seventh in last years Lightweight Manx Grand Prix, his answers to the popular series of questions, are as follows:
Q1: Favourite National Roads Meeting?
“Tandragee 100, first time there in 2016, I loved every minute of it, from the track and organisers to the paddock banter and friends made.”
Q2: Favourite Racing Bike?
“I’ve never raced one of these, but I did a parade lap on a mates TZ250 Yamaha at Castle Combe and I think they are fantastic.”
Q3: What’s the best part of competing on the roads?
“Well it’s almost like a Sunday ride with the lads, without the police helicopter!! Oh and I’ve along the way met the best Irish people ever!”

Q4: TT, North West 200 or Ulster Grand Prix?
“Having rode the Mountain Course at the Manx GP, I can’t see the answer being anything but the TT, but I will let you know by the end of this year when I will of hopefully competed at the North West 200, TT, Ulster Grand Prix.”
Q5: Most Respected Rival?
“Got to be Shaun Wynne, he’s tried all different ways to beat me, even short cuts across the grass, fair play to him and he still comes back for more.”
Q6: Best roads moment thus far?
“Gaining a 6th place finish in the last years Supersport race, at Tandragee.”
Q7: Is their one place or country in the world, where you would like to see a roads meeting held?
“Wales, I know we were almost there!”
Q8: Who’s your road racing hero?
“Ian Hutchinson”
Q9: Supersport or Superbike?
“Superbike”
Q10: Pole position or fastest lap?
“Pole position”
