Junior Support race winner during last weekends KDM Hire Cookstown 100, set to compete this August for the first time at the Manx Grand Prix, Doneraile’s Barry Sheehan is the next rider to take part in Road Racing News, ten questions challenge.
Barry’s answers to the popular series of questions, are as follows:
Q1: Favourite National Roads Meeting?
“It’s a toss up between the Tandragee 100 and Killalane.”
Q2: Favourite Racing Bike?
“My current Kawasaki ER650 Super Twin. Loving it at the minute.”
Q3: What’s the best part of competing on the roads?
“The best part of competing on the roads is the paddocks. Always have a great laugh with a few of the lads.”
Q4: TT, North West 200 or Ulster Grand Prix?
“I’ve never raced at any of them, but have been to watch them all. Loved the North West 200 last year but the TT gets the nod for me.”

Q5: Most Respected Rival?
“Probably my brother Wayne. Whenever we race against each other there’s very little to separate us.”
Q6: Best roads moment thus far?
“Winning the 2018 Cookstown 100 Junior Support Race!”
Q7: Is their one place or country in the world, where you would like to see a roads meeting held?
“Cork in Ireland. There’s a huge biking community there and very dedicated to getting one up and running for 2019. It would be great to have a race at home!”
Q8: Who’s your road racing hero?
“Used to always shout for Adrian Archibald when he was racing.”
Q9: Supersport or Superbike?
“Superbike, all day long!”
Q10: Pole position or fastest lap?
“Fastest lap! Races are not won in qualifying!!”
