By Multiple times a top three finisher at Oliver’s Mount, 14th within the 125/Moto 3 race, of this years KDM Hire Cookstown 100, 125 stalwart Andrew Jackson, is the next rider to take part in Road Racing News, ten questions challenge.
His answers to the popular series of questions, prior to competing this weekend for the first time, at the Tandragee 100, are as follows:
Q1: Favourite National Roads Meeting?
“My favourite circuit I’ve raced so far is Oliver’s Mount, but I’m racing at Tandragee this weekend and after a few sighting laps this week, I can see that changing.”
Q2: Favourite Racing Bike?
“Favourite bike I’ve ridden is the Windy Shed Classics TZ 250 Yamaha, but the Suter 500 is the bike of my dreams!”
Q3: What’s the best part of competing on the roads?
“I really enjoy the challenging circuits, the atmosphere in the paddocks and the buzz the spectators bring too.”
Q4: TT, North West 200 or Ulster Grand Prix?
“I’ve never raced any of the circuits but they all have their own appeals, for me I’ve watched at the TT a few times and that’s my goal for the future.”
Q5: Most Respected Rival?
“Has to be Jamie O’Brien, fast on anything from ultra lightweights to big classics. Anyone in the paddock will tell you he’s a top bloke, and he has really helped me this year.”
Q6: Best roads moment thus far?
“Probably the Ultra Lightweight podium finishes at the Scarborough Gold Cup last year, but getting to race on the Irish roads last and this weekend is a close second.”
Q7: Is their one place or country in the world, where you would like to see a roads meeting held?
“Back home on the paradise peninsula, the Wirral has some great roads.”
Q8: Who’s your road racing hero?
“I always loved David Jefferies, and I would say he was my hero growing up.”
Q9: Supersport or Superbike?
“I’ve never thrown my leg over a Superbike yet, so Supersport it is.”
Q10: Pole position or fastest lap?
“Qualifying isn’t as important as the race, so fastest lap!”
