Tandragee 100 Primed To Return In 2022

Absent from the road racing calendar for the past two years, due to effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Tandragee 100 is primed to return in 2022.

Next year’s Tandragee 100 barring all going to plan will take place from the 29th-30th April, under two weeks before the North West 200.

First ran in the late 1950’s, 2022 competition is set to mark 60 years of first class closed roads action at one of Irish road racing’s most cherished events.

Highlights of the most recent Around A Pound title sponsored meeting in 2019 included the gripping battles for Open, Grand Final honours between Derek Sheils and Derek McGee.

Mullingar’s McGee who went onto edge out BE Racing In Conjunction with Richardson Kelly Racing’s Sheils within the Grand Final, additional victorious in the Supersport, Super Twin, 125/Moto 3 races enabled him to secure the ‘Man of The Meeting’ accolade.

Other to emerge victorious included Paul ‘Potchy’ Williams (Lightweight 400), Dean Stimpson (Senior 500 Classics), Kevin Baker (Junior Support) and 19 times International Road Race winner, TV personality Guy Martin (Senior 1000 Classics).

Having attracted in 2019 an entry of almost 300 competitors, expect another wide ranging world class entry to embark upon Tandragee in 2022, as it celebrates it’s 60th anniversary.
