Superbike Classic Manx GP First 20 Starters Disclosed

Just over two weeks till competitive action begins on the fabled, mythical Mountain Course, the opening 20 starters for the race week ending RST Superbike Classic Manx Grand Prix, have been officially confirmed.

As showcased yesterday on Road Racing News, reigning yesteryear Superbike Classic Champion David Johnson (Alasdair Cowan Racing Kawasaki) carries the illustrious number one plate.

Next up on the entry list behind Australia’s fastest TT Races exponent is Super Twins TT rostrum finisher Paul Jordan.

Jordan who recently took third in one of the all-time great Super Twin races at Armoy, forms part of Mistral Racing’s MGP challenge.

TT Privateers Champion Jamie Coward (KTS Racing Powered by Steadplan) is set to depart ten seconds after Jordan whilst plate number four is held by Macau GP two-wheel wins record holder Michael Rutter.

Five plate holder behind Rutter is triple Irish Road Race Superbike Champion, 2019 Superbike Classic TT runner-up Greenall Racing’s Derek Sheils.

Plate numbers six to ten are held respectively by 21 times TT winner Michael Dunlop (Team Classic Suzuki), Gary Johnson, Phil Crowe (Team Classic Suzuki), Rob Hodson (Greenall Racing) and Herheim Racing’s Ryan Kneen.

Skerries Michael Sweeney (Mistral Racing), Dominic Herbertson, RC45 Honda mounted Lee Johnston (Ashcourt Racing), Team York Suzuki’s Sam West, final Greenall Racing team member Nathan Harrison round out the first 15 starters.

Wrapping up the top twenty starters are the Alasdair Cowan Racing duo of Craig Neve and Michael Browne, Wiz Norton Racing pilot Richard Wilson and ten times TT winner, Welsh International roads great Ian Lougher (Team CK Racing).
