By Given that we should have been focusing this week on Manx GP practice action, it’s a good time to look back at the pace setters from last year’s meeting.
Fastest overall was Chris Preston Racing’s Nathan Harrison, who claimed memorable Junior, Senior race victories.
Harrison’s PB lap speed of 122.094 mph, set during the showpiece, blue riband Senior race makes him now the fifth quickest racer in MGP history.

Alongside Harrison, a further six racers last year joined the ‘Tommy Club’. They are as follows:
Lightweight class record holder James Hind (121.773), VRS Racing’s Brad Vicars (121.193), Peoples Bike Team’s Stephen Parsons (121.12), Junior race runner-up Stephen Smith (120.892), lead 750 runner Dan Ingham (120.469) and Ballymoney’s Darryl Tweed (120.124).
Yorkshireman Steven Procter (120.076) also topped the 120 mph lap mark whilst five more competitors Andy Farrell (119.575), Andrew Fisher (118.982), Arnie Shelton (118.427), David McConnachy (118.366), Italian star Francesco Curinga (118.123) all nudged past the 118 mph lap barrier.
Newcomers wise, Quickest Mountain Course debutants were respective Newcomers A victor, runner-up’s IRRC Supersport front runner Pierre Yves Bian (116.241), Sam Mousley (116.187).
