Blue skies, no rain what a difference a day makes on Manx shores!
With above average conditions, speeds increased, increased, increased throughout the second Superbike qualifying session.
Hawk Racing’s Michael Dunlop (2.18.692) looked on course for pole position for tonight’s Senior race, only to be usurped late on by both Davey Todd and triple TT Privateers Champion Jamie Coward.
Reigning Solo Champion Todd, final timed lap of 2:17.302 seconds, equating speed wise to 111.433 mph, proved more than enough to attain qualifying honours.
1.109 seconds down on Todd’s turn of speed, Hebden Bridge’s Coward (110.540 mph) showed his mettle finishing second quickest in front of aforementioned 25 times TT winner Dunlop.
Top Kawasaki runner Dean Harrison finished fourth quickest just ahead of SMT Racing’s Rob Hodson.
BE/RK Racing’s Michael Browne finished P6 whilst Marcus ‘Spartacus’ Simpson seventh quickest, continues to also impress.
Wrapping up the Superbike Q2 top ten were Anthony Redmond, PreZ Racing’s Paul Jordan and recent Imatranajo newcomer Rhys Hardisty.
