By Tim Reeves and Dan Sayle where victorious in the opening sidecar race at this years Southern 100. Tim and Dan competing on the SMT racing sidecar outfit took victory by 1 second over the Birchall brothers Ben & Tom competing on the team Cofain racing team sidecar outfit.
Gary Bryan/Jamie Winn on the GBM Demolition sidecar outfit came home in third place in front of Conrad Harrison/Dipash Chauhan whilst Wayne Lockey, Greg Lambert, David Hirst, Dean Lindley, Roy Hanks and Karl Bennett completed the top 10.
