By Jamie Hamilton edged out Dean Harrison to win the opening 250/650 race at this years Southern 100. Jamie competing on the KMR Kawasaki powered by Vauxhall super-twin bike broke the existing lap record for the class before Dean Harrison on the Stewart Smith racing super-twin broke the lap record.
James Cowton competing on a KMR Kawasaki powered by Vauxhall super-twin finished in a superb third place. James who made his Southern 100 debut in 2012 rode superbly throughout. Chris Palmer finished in a solid fourth place on the Mannin Collections backed ER6 Kawasaki. Callum Collister competing on the Martin Bullock Manxsport ER6 Kawasaki finished in a brilliant fifth place.
