In particular in Supersport qualifying, which saw Derek McGee (1.38.83) edge out local hero Andy Farrell for the top spot on the time sheets.

Cookstown BE Racing’s Derek Sheils third quickest, set the Super Twins pace in front of McGee, with two times Junior Manx GP winner Michael Sweeney also keeping close proximity.
Others to impress within the 650 and 600 classes included Paul Jordan, Michael Weldon, Rigsby Racing’s Steven Procter, Steve Tobin, Full Factory Winners Wear backed David Lumsden, 400 pace setter Darryl Tweed and James Chawke.
The 125/Moto 3 pace was set by Joey’s Bar Racing’s Sam Wilson, as Joe Loughlin continued his domination of the Junior Support class, finishing over a second quicker in qualifying, than nearest pursuers Michael Browne and Oisin Watson.
Davy Morgan lead the 250 brigade, whilst the Classic 350 and 250 classes, where headed respectively by Ed Manly and Richard Ford.
