By Over the past ten years, one specific manufacturer of Sidecars has in particular dominated three wheeling TT action.
Its’ name is Louis Christen Racing, widely known to many by the acronym LCR.
First established in 1971, from the late 1970’s on-wards the Swiss company has enjoyed incredible Sidecar racing success.
Boasting over thirty World Championship titles, their TT record is equally mighty.
Since 2012, LCR mounted drivers/passengers have accumulated 34 TT podium finishes.
Every single one of Ben Birchall/Tom Birchall’s twelve TT victories, have been secured with LCR outfits.
Such is LCR’s modern time TT dominance, that the nearest challenger in terms of Sidecar manufacturer podium finishes is 25 top three finishes in arrears, DMR (Dave Molyneux Racing).
Added acclaimed Sidecar outfit producers, with TT rostrums since 2012 are Shelbourne (6), Rod Bellas (1) and Rowtec (1).
Engine suppliers wise, it’s Honda who top the 2012-2022 rostrums category, with an incredible 43 third or better placings.
Remarkably Kawasaki (5), Suzuki (4), Yamaha’s (2) total of top three finishes, puts them still 32 top three finishes down on Honda’s total.
