Road Racing News 2025 awards week continues today with the Team of The Year honour, gained by, drum roll, Armoy ‘Race of Legends’ winners Russell Racing.
Alister Russell’s Boyce Precision Engineering title backed squad, first established five years ago, enjoyed a tumultuous summer on the roads with Michael Browne and Richard Cooper.
Aside from prior featured, feature race victory at Armoy, the British Supersport race winning outfit’s 2025 race season, yielded:
• IRRC Imatranajo – middleweight class triumphs x2 – first IRRC affiliated victories
• IRRC Imatranajo – new Supersport lap-record
• Tandragee 100 – Supersport race win
• Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough – Steve Henshaw Gold Cup victory
• Steve Henshaw Gold Cup – Supersport (A) wins x3
• Armoy Road Races – unbeaten in 1000cc, Supersport races
• Northwest 200 – Supersport Race 1 – second
• Northwest 200 – Supersport Race 2 – victory
• Southern 100 – S&S Motors Supersport (A) Race victory
• TT 2025 – Supersport Race 2 – seventh
Striving to maintain the feel-good factor from this year, the Yamaha machinery stalwarts head into 2026 with an enhanced competition album and resolve, determined ambitions to return to the TT podium finishers circle.
