Rob Hodson All Set For Ulster GP Debut

2015 Super Twins Manx GP winner Rob Hodson is all set to make his Ulster Grand Prix debut in August, as he embarks upon competition for the first time around the ultra fast roads of Dundrod.

An accomplished exponent of the Mountain Course, Billown, plus various short circuits such as Darley Moor and Aintree, he more than has the core racing credentials to gel quickly with the fastest road racing circuit in the world.

As recently at the Southern 100, which saw him seal series of impressive results, which included a brace of third place finishes in the Super Twin encounters, his steeds for Dundrod are his own teams S1000RR BMW, plus 675 Daytona Triumph and ER6 Kawasaki, which carry backing from CMS.

Speaking about his upcoming Ulster GP debut, plus his recent exploits at Billown, Rob said:

“I’d say the Southern 100 ended too soon! having gone faster in all 3 classes than I did in 2016 and another two podiums on the twin, top 8 places in every other race I know where I need to improve my riding.

The bikes were faultless following a lot of hard work between the TT and Southern, a big thanks goes to everyone who has helped get things ready.

Next up for me is the Ulster Grand Prix, I’m looking forward to making my debut there on the BMW S1000, CMS 675 & Super Twin, hoping I can learn fast and get up to speed, the circuit looks like it will be great fun to ride, and I know the bikes are up to the job, we will do our best and see where we end up!

I need to thank everyone who has been involved for the Southern 100 and so far this year, everything is greatly appreciated, here’s to more success!”
