125 Mph TT lap-speed Club member, New Zealand roads royalty Jay Lawrence is set to venture back, into pure road racing mode this month at the ‘Southern Hemisphere’s Isle of Man’, the Cemetery Circuit Races.
Seventeenth within the Superstock encounter of TT 2019, he’s previously had a fair dose of success at his home nations’ leading street race events.
For his roads-scene comeback, the Paekakariki rider, former Cliffhanger Hill Climb overall winner is reunited with his trusty, re-built Carl Cox Motorsport supported GSXR 750 SRAD Suzuki, which he last piloted almost ten years ago.
This makes him eligible for the Inferno Design sponsored Pre 1989/1995 Post Classics field alongside the likes of Moto Guzzi equipped Vince Burrell, Auckland’s Paul Pavletich and Daniel Mettam formerly of Wilson Craig Racing.
Before Boxing Day competition at Whanganui, Lawrence takes in the opening Suzuki International Series rounds at Taupo (7th-8th December) and Manfeild (14th-15th December).
