Top calibre New Zealand street racing talents, attained starring roles during the Burt Munro Challenge incorporated, E.Hayes & Sons title sponsored Teretonga Sprint Races which featured the latest New Zealand Superbike Championship races.
This weekend’s NZ SBK encounters did not disappoint in providing thrilling, intense, gripping action.
Cemetery Circuit Races feature race Champion Mitch Rees, Moto 2 race winner Anthony West both broke the existing lap record which ultimately is now held by Honda powered Rees, lapping at 57.337 seconds.
Race wins wise, it was 2-1 in favour of Rees whose father, NZ street racing legend Tony joined him on the podium in all three big-bike races.
Jesse Stroud, Seth Devereux, Heath Botica were the respective Bears class race victors whilst others to excel, unlock race wins, top three placings with well-known street racing CVs included:
Supersport race 1 winner Rogan Chandler, Luca Durning, Morgan McLaren Wood, Jon Rawcliffe and Jonny Lewis.
