Previously graced by F1 World Champions including Jim Clark, Jackie Stewart, Jochen Rindt, Denny Hulme, Phil Hill and Jack Brabham, Teretonga Park hosted this weekend the latest New Zealand Superbike Championship rounds.
As at Mike Pero Motorsport-park, Cemetery Circuit Races lap record holder, national Superbike Champion elect Mitch Rees, took a starring role.
Victorious within the first, third Superbike encounters, the re-started second big bike race stint saw him finish a close runner-up to Alastair Hoogenboezem.
Just 0.137 of a second separated Hoogenboezem, Rees after fifteen frantic laps, with both setting PB lap times below the 58.6 seconds barrier.
Added racers with varying degrees of pure road racing experience, in action at Teretonga included Scott Moir, Karl Hooper, Morgan McLaren Wood, Luca Durning.
Not forgetting Nick Southerwood, SJ Cavell, Ashton Hughes and Supersport race three runner-up Rogan Chandler.
