Ruapuna Raceway (Mike Pero Motorsport Park), were hosts to the latest rounds of the 2022/2023 New Zealand Superbike Championship.
A wide-ranging selection of New Zealand’s top pure road racers were competing including Cemetery Circuit Races lap record holder, Robert Holden Memorial feature race Champion Mitch Rees.
Aboard high spec Fireblade Honda tackle, Rees vaulted to successive race victories, ending his weekend stint at Ruapuna with an ultra-dominant NZGP Superbike victory, finishing 9.924 seconds in front of lead chaser Alastair Hoogenboezem.
Manx GP newcomers podium finisher Ben Rosendaal sped to opening Super Twins honours whilst others with varying degrees of roads course experience, acquiring prominent results included:
Jonny Lewis, Luca Durning, Nick Southerwood, Scott Moir, opening Superbike race winner Dale Finch.
Supersport pace setter at Whanganui Rogan Chandler, Ashton Hughes, SJ Cavell and Seth Devereux.
