Round two of this year’s NG (North Gloucester) Road Racing season saw racers descend upon Lincolnshire’s ‘Mini Nurburgring’, Cadwell Park.
The ones to beat within the Phoenix Open, Powerbike races were notorious Mountain Course pilots Phil Crowe and Bathams Racing’s Craig Neve.
Between them, they chalked up five race wins, two for Market Rasen’s Crowe, three for Immingham’s Neve.
Fellow rising TT talent Jim Hind, commanded in domineering style the 250 GP race-stints, powering to a hat-trick of victories.
Hind, a seeded rider for the Monster Energy Supersport races of TT 2024, also enjoyed high-yielding outings aboard 600cc machinery, finishing top middleweight class pilot in all three Phoenix Open races.
Oliver’s Mount 400cc lap record holder Dan Frear topped each IMS National 600 encounter whilst added roads scene specialists, regulars competing last weekend included, to name but a few:
2023 Bob Smith Spring Cup winner Joey Thompson, Dafabet Racing’s Matt Stevenson, Chris Moore, Arthur Gissing, Martin Morris and Stephen ‘Trevor’ Parsons, top three finisher times two from Sound of Thunder race circulations.
