Goodings, Knight/Hughes Star At Darley Moor Season Opener

Doncaster’s Mark Goodings enjoyed a nigh-on perfect weekend across the Darley Moor season opener, illustrating again his prowess at the former RAF base.

Goodings, forty plate holder for this year’s Superbike, Superstock, Senior TT contests, won five of the six races in which he participated.

The only time the LMT Motorsport/Steady Away Racing backed rider was defeated, was in the second Open 600 race, finishing only 0.15 of a second behind Joe Holdsworth.

Added TT 2024 bound racers starring on Sunday were new wave, Sidecar pilots Dan Knight/Ben Hughes.

Knight/Hughes won both three wheeling race tilts in formidable fashion, with race winning margins standing respectively at 26.47, 26.33 seconds.

Eleventh in last year’s Sidecar TT opener, they are ones to watch next month, in June as competition around the fabled, mythical Mountain Course edges closer.
