One of this year’s opening motorcycling events worldwide, the Motorcycling Canterbury 90th Anniversary meeting at Euromarque Motorsport Park (race lap record holder, Indycar icon Scott Dixon), attracted a varied, diverse entry-list for four-stroke, two-stroke, yesteryear races.
Notable participants for roads scene fans included Dennis Charlett, Dan McKenzie, Dale Finch and Alastair Hoogenboezem.
2024 Boxing Day action at the Cemetery Circuit Races, yielded three top ten finishes for Hoogenboezem (9th-8th F1 Races – 10th Robert Holden Memorial Feature race).
This weekend’s big bike race circulations saw him finish second twice, including in the twelve-lap New Zealand Grand Prix race.
NZ GP honours were decisively attained by the above-showcased Dale Finch.
Finch no stranger to front running performances at Whanganui and the Greymouth Street Races, finished over 14 seconds ahead.
