TT aces reunited was one way of describing the 2024 Goodwood Revival meeting edition, with participants boasting 80 TT wins combined.
Victorious times two in the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy races were MSS Velocette Norton apparatus jockeys Michael Russell (not the 2009 Senior Manx Grand Prix winner) and Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix wins record-holder, Michael Rutter.
2013 Lightweight TT winner James Hillier/Dan Jackson led the fight to Russell/Rutter across the opening 16-lap race whilst the second contest, 14-laps long saw Herbert Schwab/2024 Senior TT winner Davey Todd finish second.
There achievement was made even more first-class given that they were piloting almost 100 years-old spec R63 Kompressor BMW tackle.
Other leading roads scene names speeding around the 2.4 miles long in distance, Goodwood circuit, included to name but a few:
Steve Plater (2009 Senior TT winner), John McGuinness MBE (23 times TT winner), Iain Duffus (Twice TT winner), Josh Brookes (2024 Senior TT runner-up).
David Johnson (2019 Superbike Classic TT winner), Dominic Herbertson (Cookstown Grand Final winner), Adam McLean (IRRC Supersport Championship leader).
