Taking a starring role in opening Supersport, Superbike races at the Dolny Hricov based Zilina Airport race meeting, was none other than Czech road racing hero Marek Cerveny.
Enjoying ideal prep for next month’s IRRC Imatranajo meeting, Cerveny racing the WRP/AAB Racing Yamaha’s was in exquisite form throughout.
Looking back on first Supersport race proceedings, Cerveny just had the edge, extra depth on fellow countryman, fellow IRRC Supersport front runner Petr Najman.
Just 1.486 seconds separated the Czech roads giants after 14 swift laps around the Zilina Airport circuit.
Superbike race 1 wise, Cerveny produced a dominant display, emerging victorious by nearly 7.4 seconds.
Top chaser was Tomas Borovka with third, fourth positions claimed by Petr Plichta and Leos Hlavacek.
Wrapping up the top ten finishers were Jiri Petrla, Honza Huk, Czech roads regular Emil Krchnavy, Jan Majer, Lukas Walter and Jiri Valis.
