Crowned last month at Aberdare Park, Welsh Open Champion for the first time, Doncaster’s Mark Goodings kept up his recent good form during the latest Darley Moor Championships event.
Goodings who has lapped the fabled, mythical Mountain Course at in excess of 123 mph, banked four race wins, post dependable, efficient, above adequate race stints astride 600cc, 1000cc machinery.
Added competitors known for roads scene exploits, racing included Lightweight class front-runner Andy Whale, Southern 100 winner Richard Charlton and TT stalwart Jim Hodson.
Lightweight 400cc TT runner-up in 2002, overall, seven times a top ten TT finisher, Hodson showed on Sunday that he still has a deft touch aboard Super Twins tackle, via sealing a second-place finish in the opening Twins class encounter.
The next Darley Moor hosted event, commences on the 10th September whilst the acclaimed ‘Stars at Darley’ extravaganza takes place in early October (7th-8th).
