High level UK based Sidecars action returned during the past weekend, as a host of established TT drivers, passengers circulated around the Brands Hatch Indy circuit.
The BMCRC (British Motorcycle Racing Club)-MRO Championships opening round didn’t disappoint three wheeling fans who kept close attention on those competing including 17 times TT winner Dave Molyneux.
Joined by new passenger, Beverley’s Daryl Gibson, the iconic Manxman was racing the 890cc KTM powered outfit that he hopes will enable him to elevate his already golden TT CV.
Non finishers in the opening ten lap F1/F2 race, Molyneux/Gibson went onto finish second in the following Sidecars race tussle whilst the third race encounter held in inclement conditions, yielded a fourth place finish.
Fellow Mountain Course exponents Gary Bryan/Phil Hyde placed no lower than second, in terms of leading Formula 2 class racers from races completed on Saturday and Sunday.
Wayne Lockey/former TT lap record holder Ben Binns, alongside Bryan/Hyde enjoyed F2 class success whilst others making solid starts to their latest race season tenures, included Greg Lambert/Ben McBride and the father/son duo of Bruce & Ashley Moore.
