BMCRC (British Motorcycle Racing Club)-MRO Championships affiliated competition took to Oulton Park on Friday and Saturday, with leading lights competing including 2016 Newcomers A Manx GP runner-up Julian Trummer.
I think it’s fair to say Trummer’s maiden Oulton Park tenure, was challenging to say the least!
14th quickest in qualifying for the MRO Powerbikes/Club 1000 combined races, he would go onto be a non finisher within the corresponding race encounters thanks to a mixture of bad luck and mechanical gremlins.
Suitors WH Racing stated this evening via Facebook about the above mentioned topic:
“Today luck really hasn’t been on our side! This morning we had some minor bike issues which meant we missed our first race but the issues were soon resolved and the bike was ready for Race 2.
The track was very wet and cold and unfortunately on lap one Julian had a high side due to very little grip out on track. Julian is ok and is on the mend.
We’ll bounce back for our next meeting. Thank you to everyone for the kind messages!”
Alongside prospective Armoy Road Races newcomer Trummer, additional up coming, seasoned, renowned roads course pilots competing at Oulton Park included Obsession Engineering supported Martin Morris, Barry Furber, Craig Howton, Angela Cragg and yesteryear racing specialist John Leigh Pemberton.
I’d be remiss as well not to mention the exploits of Oliver’s Mount Spring Cup bound Richie Welsh, who took a brace of EDlasia Formula 400 victories.
