Road Racer’s Adventures: Alpe Adria Series, Brno

Arising at the same time as the IRRC Imatranajo meeting, the former Moto GP, World Superbike 3.357 miles long Brno track (Czech Republic located) hosted (the first weekend in July) an Alpe Adria European Championship event.

Winner of the Superstock 600 race opener, second in Race 2 was outright ‘Brod Open’ Races lap-record holder, youngster Karlo Grsic from Krizevci (Croatia).

Superbike Race 1 victor, runner-up in the following SBK encounter, Autodrom specialist Michal Filla, racing resume boasts big-bike rostrum finishing exploits from his only Horice ‘300 Curves of Gustav Havel’ start in 2010.

There were added well-known names, tackling four-stroke, Supersport 300 races at Brno, like Karel Pesek, former ‘Stare Mesto’ lap record holder and quickest Czech debutant in Horice racing history.

Michal Prasek (double Superbike race winner this year at Dolny Hricov and twice winner of Dymokury Road Races), Jiri Broz (three times victorious at the 300 Curves of Gustav Havel meeting).

Dolny Hricov Zilina Airport races top five finishers, Supersport victor x2 Tomas Svitok, Lucia Murgasova who started in the 300cc category aside Horice rostrum finisher in May Petr Endrst and Radek Lamich, the second most winning 300 Curves of Gustav Havel competitor.

Daniel Kicka podium finisher in Race 2 of Cup 600 Sportbike races has also experience at Horice as a wild card rider in IRRC races.
