Speaking on Cowton Racing By Radcliffe’s Facebook page, James said of the recent pre season test:

”So pleased to finally blow away the winter cobwebs on the brand new Cowton Racing by Radcliffe’s BMW 1000, with a three day test ahead.

The first day was always going to be about slowly dialling myself into a brand new bike and getting back up to speed after a winter out the saddle, even though I raced a BMW last year its seemed along time ago but we made improvements in set up and times.

The second day was time to knuckle down and make some changes to improve further on lap times and also to find a good base setting, with the help of Metzler we tried different options of tyres to take on some good data.

Day 3 soon arrived and plenty more changes and lap times tumbled down as I felt more at home on the BMW, now looking forward to the next test at the beginning of march on Cowton Racing by Radcliffe’s Honda 600 and BMW 1000 which should be mega quick.”

It’s under sixty days till James opening pure roads action of 2016 at Oliver’s Mount, at the Bob Smith Spring Cup Road Races.

Regarded by many as a specialist around the mount, expectations are high for the meeting on the 16th to the 17th of April, as James bids to begin this years pure road racing season, with series of results of the highest quality.
