There is, positive vibes a plenty about next year’s 100th Anniversary Manx Grand Prix.
As stated in a previous article, competitive action will open on the 20th of August (Sunday), with practice week running up till the 25th August (Friday).
From the 25th-28th August, race action anticipated to feature four-stroke, two-stroke, exotic yesteryear machines takes’ place.
There is also potential for racing to run on the 29th August, should unforeseen circumstances impact upon the planned race week schedule.
Racers to already announce their intention to compete next year include HM Motorsport’s Gareth Arnold, Obsession Engineering supported Stuart Clotworthy, Richard Kay.
Plus, potential Mountain Course newbies, Baja International Tourist Cup runner-up Dave Thomas, Cyril Lecocq, fastest Oliver’s Mount Scarborough debutant of 2022 Joe Yeardsley and Billy McKinstry supported Owen Monaghan.
Speaking today via Twitter about those considering joining the MGP rider ranks in 2023, Manx Motor Cycle Club Director Jim Hunter, stated:
“Fantastic level of interest from those wishing to make their Mountain Course debut at the ‘23 Manx Grand Prix, particularly the international contingent.
Can’t blame them – best thing you’ll ever do on two wheels.”
