Reigning back to back Lightweight TT Champion’s Paton, will have a strong presence at next week’s Armoy Road Races courtesy of the Team ILR with Mark Coverdale squad.
Team Manager Ian Lougher, returns to race action for the first since the Oliver’s Mount Spring Cup in May and is certain to be one to watch in the Super Twins race.
Post Brands Hatch British Supersport competition, Ulster GP Twins front runner Joe Loughlin is set to join Lougher at Armoy, racing like his mentor an ever evocative sounding S1-R Paton.
Armoy Junior Support, Senior Support winner in 2017, the Castleblaney racer whilst perhaps going into ‘Race of Legends’ action a touch under the radar, has the undoubted capabilities to contend for class spoils.
He’s not to be discounted as well from challenging for top five finishes or better in the Supersport races, for which he is ZX6R Kawasaki mounted.
Returning to 10 times TT winner, International roads all time great Lougher, his latest Armoy expedition also sees him alongside tackling the Twins race also set to dabble with the Classic 500 scene, piloting a priceless 500 MV Agusta made available by long term real roads supporter John Chapman.
