Next to take part in Road Racing News, revamped Oliver’s Mount Top 8 series is Aberdare Park virtuoso, 2024 & 2025 No Limits Racing Pirelli Super Series Championship runner-up, Ryan Dixon.
Awarded earlier this month, the Scarborough newcomer of The Year title, his answers to the set of questions, are as follows:
Q1: First memory of Oliver’s Mount?
“The first time I heard about OM would have been talking to other riders in the paddocks, various years ago now. Chatting about getting into some roads meetings and OM being an obvious option.”
Q2: Favourite part about racing at the mount?
“The circuit in general really, it has a bit of everything, exciting place to ride!”
Q3: Favourite section of Scarborough course?
“My favourite part probably has to be the jumps I’d say, when you get them right of course!”
Q4: Best moment thus far at Scarborough?
“Getting podium finishes in both classes, I competed in at my first visit there and being voted newcomer of the year ‘25.”
Q5: All time Scarborough racing hero?
“There’s a lot to choose from, but Barry Sheene would have to be up there.”
Q6: Is there one machine in particular that you would like to race at Scarborough?
“A sidecar, always wanted to have a go in one and still trying to use my contacts to get a spin in one, one day. As a driver only though, not mad enough to get on without control of the handlebars!”
Q7: One word to describe Oliver’s Mount?
“Welcoming”
Q8: Most respected racing rival at Scarborough?
“So far I would have to say Rob Hodson, as he’s been the benchmark man overall on the couple of occasions, I’ve been there.”
