Next to take part in Road Racing News, revamped Oliver’s Mount Top 8 series is Supermono front runner, 2023 Manx GP competitor Jack Turner.
A sub 2 minute lap North Yorkshire ‘Mini TT’ member, his answers to the set of questions, are as follows:
Q1: First memory of Oliver’s Mount?
“Sitting at Esses out on my stag do with a barrel of larger in the sunshine watching the Cock O’ The North meet.”
Q2: Favourite part about racing at the mount?
“Favourite part has got to be how close we can race to the supporters, seeing people’s faces enjoying the racing makes for a special atmosphere, especially on the little 450 which makes a hell of a noise!”
Q3: Favourite section of Scarborough course?
“Has to be down Jefferies and into the top section of farm bends.”
Q4: Best moment thus far at Scarborough?
“Qualifying my Tigcraft twin for the Gold Cup feature race in 2023 and been on the same grid as the top lads.”
Q5: All time Scarborough racing hero?
“Got to be Dean Harrison.”
Q6: Is there one machine in particular that you would like to race at Scarborough?
“I’d love to have a go on a 250 stroker, hopefully if plans come together I’ll have a run out on a TZ250 5ke (Yamaha) this year.”
Q7: One word to describe Oliver’s Mount?
“Raw”
Q8: Most respected racing rival at Scarborough?
“I couldn’t narrow it down to one, both Russell Brook and Roddy Taylor have given me invaluable guidance off the track and plenty of tows on it.”
