NW200: Top Forty Speediest Pilots

Various racers set huge new personal best lap times at this year’s record-breaking FonaCAB & Nicholl Oils North West 200, including new outright lap record holder Peter Hickman.

Hickman’s incredible lap time of 4 minutes 18.753 seconds, is over three seconds faster than the previous existing lap-record held by Michael Dunlop.

Joining Hickman in registering on Saturday 124 mph plus lap speeds were six times successive Superbike race winner Glenn Irwin (124.656), the extremely impressive Richard Cooper (124.545) and for many ‘Rider of The Meeting’ Davey Todd (124.519).

Such was the sizzling pace on the coast roads, no less than 12 racers overall recorded lap speeds exceeding 121 mph.

Those to have achieved this feat not mentioned yet are as follows:

DAO Racing’s Dean Harrison (123.454), Josh Brookes (123.141), Supersport race 2 victor Lee Johnston (122.894), NW200 wins record holder Alastair Seeley (122.335).

The aforementioned Michael Dunlop (122.036), Conor Cummins (121.93), fastest through the speed trap Ian Hutchinson (121.78) and Rich Energy OMG Racing’s James Hillier (121.019).

Dominic Herbertson (120.499), Michael Rutter (120.437), John McGuinness MBE (120.172), Michael Sweeney (120.075) all topped the 120-mph lap mark whilst 17th-20th quickest racers overall were Sam West (119.887), Nathan Harrison (119.884), Jamie Coward (119.09) and Craig Neve (118.765).
