After finishing ninth quickest in opening Superbike qualifying, Glenn Irwin admitted the following via Twitter:

“Always enjoyable on the North Coast but not so much when you can’t go in a straight line!!

Roll on Thursday for FP2, the boys will digest the data we go again.”

Baja International Tourist Cup, San Pedro Martir Hill Climb front runner Dave Hewson is participating in his first NW200 tenure since 2010.

For those not already aware, ‘Wavey Davey’ is National Superstock 1000 sensation Franco Bourne’s crew chief.

Yesterday morning’s newcomers practice session featured 15 NW200 debutants.

Chief Marshal is Cathal Cunning and chief flag marshals are Keith Edgar, Stephen Taylor.

If inclement conditions for Thursday, Saturday’s races, FHO Racing’s Peter Hickman potentially may not be participating, due to struggling to obtain wet weather tyres from Dunlop.

In contrast to what is stated in the programme, Michael Dunlop is not Paton mounted within the Super Twins category.

As shown on Tuesday, the Ballymoney roads hero is astride McAdoo Kawasaki machinery.
