The second supersport race of this years Vauxhall international North West 200 finished after 2 laps due to the poor weather out on the circuit. After a lengthly delay it was decided that the race result was to be called after 2 laps which meant this brought a second North West 200 win for Michael Dunlop. Michael lead Bruce Anstey after the two laps with not much between them.
Bruce finished in second place on the HM Plant Honda by Padgetts motorcycles supersport bike. Lee Johnston completed the top 3 finishing in a fantastic third place on the Millsport racing CBR 600 Honda. 4th place went to Alastair Seeley, 5th place went to Guy Martin whilst John Mcguinness completed the top 6.
William Dunlop finished in a consistent 7th place on the Milwaukee Yamaha R6 supersport machine, James Hillier and Dan Cooper finished in eight and ninth places. James Cowton produced one of the rides of the race taking a top 10 finish. Michael Sweeney, Paul Jordan, Stuart Easton, Jamie Hamilton and Simon Andrews rounded out the top 15.
So a race that was called after 2 laps but one that brought more exciting racing at the North West 200 and with it a well deserved second race win at the North West 200 for Michael Dunlop.
