North West 200: Event Organisers Issue Statement On Honda Racing’s Hutchinson Forfeiting Superstock Q1 Laps

In an unforeseen development, Honda Racing’s Ian Hutchinson has forfeited his lap times from today’s opening Superstock qualifying session, at the 90th anniversary North West 200.

The reason for this, revealed recently by event organisers in a candid, short statement, is as follows:

“Honda Racing’s Ian Hutchinson has forfeited his times from today’s opening Superstock qualifying session, after his machine was found to be using non-compliant fuel.

The organisers of the 2019 fonaCAB International North West 200 in association with Nicholl Oils, stipulate the use of a control fuel only in each machine.”

Obviously this isn’t the type of news, that the Honda Racing squad wanted at the end of qualifying today.

On the plus side though for the highly respected outfit, was the performance of their four stroke mounts, which all proved more than a touch competitive in the respective qualifying sessions.
