NEMCRC Croft: Hodson Captures Ken Redfern Trophy R1 Laurels

SMT Racing’s Rob Hodson, opened his 2025 race season account in victorious style; after capturing Ken Redfern Trophy race one laurels at Croft.

Giving chase throughout to long term P1 carrier, WTF Racing’s Dominic Herbertson (750R Kawasaki mounted), the eighth, last lap saw Southern 100 Super Twins lap record holder Hodson, unlock P1, go onto finish 1.44 ahead of his fellow 130 Mph Club TT member.

Behind Hodson, Herbertson, the leader board top eight had distinct roads scene tones about it with top 600 pilot Aran Sadler third, 2018 Senior Manx Grand Prix winner Matt Stevenson fourth.

Curtis Milburn fifth, Shaun Anderson astride the KH Hire Honda sixth, Tom Robinson seventh.

Outside the first ten finishers, names not new to pure road racing aficionados, attaining top fifteen finishes were Stephen ‘Trevor’ Parsons (11th), Jack Fowler (13th) and Oliver’s Mount CB 500 Champion Bailey Harker (15th).

I’d be remiss not to showcase as well in this article, Cowton Racing’s Franco Bourne’s storming displays in the NEMCRC (North East Motorcycle Racing Club), Laird of Croft Supersport race openers.

Taking victories by respective margins of 27.512, 3.159 seconds over nearest pursuers, Harley Rushton, the already-showcased Dominic Herbertson, Bourne set to make his real roads debut next month at Cookstown, showed his National Superstock 1000 race winning class.
