NCE Racing’s Williams Targeting Scarborough Expeditions

Next generation Manx road racer Jamie Williams is hoping to return to Scarborough shores in 2021, with the aim to sample all four events at North Yorkshire’s ‘Mini TT’.

A protege of multiple TT winner Chris Palmer, NCE Racing’s Williams has a pretty impressive CV at Oliver’s Mount which includes Junior B race 2 success from the 2016 Gold Cup.

The same meeting saw him claim a further three second place finishes, as he established himself amongst the fastest rising ‘Mount’ talents.

Third within the 2017 Junior Manx Grand Prix, there’s no doubt that Williams pending all working out could be one to watch this year at Scarborough.

Alongside trips to Scarborough, his 2021 racing plans also include sampling all Thundersport GB rounds plus the Southern 100 and Manx GP, albeit this depends upon the Covid-19 situation improving.

Speaking via Instagram about what’s potentially on the horizon for 2021, Williams candidly stated:

“So due to the restrictions here on the Island and limited racing, we have decided that it’s in our best interest to head across the water to the UK for the season which will enable us to race at various events.

Given that 2020 hadn’t been the season we or most race teams were hoping for, we are really looking forward to getting some much needed bike time as soon as we feasibly can.”
