The Valmoto MV Agusta team has performed solidly at this years international road races. Competing for the team this year has been supersport TT winner from 2011, Gary Johnson.
At the North west 200 Gary achieved a top 20 finish on the MV Agusta in the second supersport race in wet conditions all round. Next up for Gary and the team was the Isle of Man TT.
Practice week went well for the Valmoto MV Agusta team, Gary Johnson recorded consistent lap speeds, the team and Gary went into this years supersport TT races with good confidence of achieving consistent results.
Mechanical issues in the first supersport race meant it was a disappointing first race for the team at this year’s Isle of Man TT but the second supersport race went a lot better. Gary Johnson finished in a highly creditable 9th place not far behind Guy Martin on the Tyco Suzuki supersport bike.
At the Ulster grand prix Gary Johnson was running in the top 10 before mechanical issues hit, despite some niggling issues with the MV Agusta its being a solid year of racing at the international road races for the Valmoto MV Agusta team.
The MV Agusta supersport bike has great potential and there’s no doubt next year the bike has the potential to challenge for podium finishes at the international road races.
