Motorcycle Mind Book Review

Motorcycle Mind Book Review

We are all curious at some point, about what makes us tick, elevates we as humans to superhuman feats.

A host of machines offers platforms to this but perhaps more than any, the motorcycle allows this.

Over the past two weeks, I’ve read in detail, evolutionary neuroscientist Mark Changizi’s newest publication, Motorcycle Mind, which explores our relationship with as Bon Jovi once coined it the steel horse.

Every aspect, riding, the exhilaration it provides, the other worldly nature it gives the rider, its culture, its’ myths is decisively covered.

A different kind of book from whom I would usually read, I gained from it that bikes offer their pilots to become their own unique character, their own tour-de-force.

I’ve often said that pure road racers are normal people, who put on their superhuman cloaks.

There also entering another dimension of reality, the psychology of hitting the 190, 200, 205, 210 mph mark in between trees, hedges, stone walls, is unique to say the least.

This is what stands out to me from Motorcycle Mind, the motorcycle gives us the impetus to be essentially extra level in terms of speed adaption, human performance but in a way were still to fully understand.
