Mid Antrim 150 – Preview

The Mid Antrim 150 road races have acquired a top quality entry list for this years event. Leading the entry is top 5 finisher at this years North west 200, Derek Shiels. Derek is for this years Mid Antrim 150 road races competing for the CD racing team on a ZX10 Kawasaki which has seen him achieve many a top result so far this season including winning the superbike race at the Cork road races.

Derek is also entered in the supersport races for the T&M racing team on a CBR 600 Honda. Michael Pearson will also start one of the favourites for race wins this weekend when Michael competes on the SR1000 BMW and R6 Yamaha backed by the team Hotties Thermal packs racing team.

Ryan Farquhar’s KMR Kawasaki powered by Vauxhall team will be looking for more top results at the Mid Antrim 150 road races where Ryan has achieved many a race win. Jamie Hamilton is in good form on the ER6 Kawasaki run by the KMR Kawasaki powered by Vauxhall team in the super twins races, plus Jamie is producing top results in the supersport races whilst is improving all the time in the superbike races.

Connor Behan has so far had a brilliant first full season of road racing and will be looking to continue his good form this season at the Mid Antrim 150 road races in the junior support and senior support races when competing on the KMR Kawasaki powered by Vauxhall ER6 and 636 bikes.

Seasoned road racer Davy Morgan is set to compete in the superbike, supersport,250 and super twin races at this years Mid Antrim 150 road races. Davy had a consistent Isle of Man TT this year and has rode consistently well throughout this years road racing season.

Shaun Anderson had a fantastic time at this years Isle of Man TT where Shaun recorded his fastest ever lap times with lap speeds of 125 mph. Shaun is for this weekends Mid Antrim 150 road races competing on Suzuki machinery in the supersport and superbike races.

Rising road racing stars Derek Mcgee and William Davison are both more than capable of achieving podium finishes at this years Mid Antrim 150 road races. Derek Mcgee has impressed many this season with his results in particular in the supersport races, at the Walderstown road races Derek won the supersport 600 race which included beating William Dunlop who finished in third place on the CD racing/Milwaukee Yamaha supersport bike.

Michael Sweeney has this season once again proved his talent and ability which has included breaking the 250 lap record at this years Armoy road races. Michael is competing for the Mick Jones racing team at this years Mid Antrim 150 road races competing on a SR1000 BMW and a R6 Yamaha.

The 125 race at the Mid Antrim 150 road races for 2013 is sure to be highly competitive, the entry list for the race includes entered Sam Wilson, Sam Dunlop, Nigel Moore and Paul Robinson.
