With today’s racing at the Mid Antrim 150 cancelled, BE Racing/RK Racing’s Michael Browne is officially the 2022 Irish Road Race Supersport Champion.
Going into Mid Antrim, 14 points ahead of lead chaser Michael Sweeney, the Cork racer, who has tenaciously fought back to race fitness, since gaining ankle injuries from an incident at Cookstown, is good value for becoming the latest middleweight class, Irish roads season winner.
At a glance top Supersport moments of 2022 aboard R6 Yamaha machinery, for the Lightweight Manx GP winner, include four podium finishes and race wins at Skerries and Faugheen.
Ultra competitive aboard four stroke, two stroke, Moto 3 tackle, Browne is arguably one of the most versatile road racers at present.
His stock within the real roads scene has increased massively throughout the past six months.
I’ve also got to state a huge congratulations to John Burrows, BE Racing/RK Racing squad that have secured another Irish Road Race Championship title.
