13 times North West 200 winner Michael Rutter, is targeting more success around the Triangle.
One of the undoubted greats at the Giant Causeway based meeting, the 2016 running of the iconic road race, is set to see him S1000RR BMW mounted for the superbike and superstock races, competing for the newly formed Bathams SMT Racing.
The hugely competitive supersport races, sees him link up with Gearlink Kawasaki, whilst there is also a possibility of super twins action, commenting on this Michael said:
“I don’t have a twin to ride at the moment but I would like to have a run out at the North West if one becomes available.”

Still highly competitive on the roads, Michael is realistic of his chances, of adding to his tally of 13 North West 200 victories.
“I think it would be very difficult and it is a lottery going into that last lap at the North West. You could be leading going into Juniper Hill chicane and then end up third or fourth!
The only thing we don’t have is time, it is the only thing we are running out of. The superbike should be ready in two weeks time but then we only have a fortnight until the North West.
We have the budget to get the right engines from BMW, we have K-Tech suspension so we just need to get out there and get some track time.”
