Michael Russell Links Up With JHS Racing

2009 senior Manx Grand Prix winner Michael Russell has linked up with JHS Racing, for the 2016 pure road racing season.

The seventh place finisher in last years lightweight TT, is all set to pilot the teams GSX-R 600 and SV650 Suzuki’s at TT 2016, Southern 100, plus selected Oliver’s Mount meetings.

TT 2016 marks Michael’s fifth time competing at the Isle of Man TT.

Set to pilot top draw Suzuki machinery alongside competing on his own teams Club 55 Racing Honda, his aims for TT 2016 are:

“This season I will be pushing for a podium in the Lightweight race, top-ten in Supersport and top-20 on the big bike. I know the bikes and myself are capable.”

Since making his Manx Grand Prix debut in 2007, the rider nicknamed Jack Russell has gone onto establish himself as a highly accomplished competitor around the Mountain Course.

Alongside his famous senior Manx Grand Prix victory in 2009, super twins victory at the Manx GP in 2013, makes one of a very select few to be a twice winner at the Manx.

Last two lightweight TT’s have seen Michael put the cat amongst the pigeons, with impressive displays on Track Electronics backed ER6 Kawasaki and one of Ryan Farquhar’s KMR Kawasaki’s.

Determined to move up to the next level in the lightweight TT, Michael is confident that the JHS Racing SV650 Suzuki, can put him in contention for a podium finish.

Plus in my opinion he has every chance of finishing leading Suzuki runner, in the Monster Energy supersport races, on the JHS Racing Yoshimura backed GSX-R 600 Suzuki.

It’s an exciting opportunity for Michael Russell, competing for James Holland’s JHS Racing outfit.

Top draw results a plenty are in prospect on the roads in 2016, for one of pure road racing’s most improved competitors over the last five years.
