By 13 times TT winner Michael Dunlop is aiming to create another piece of pure road racing history at the upcoming Armoy Road Races, as he aims to make it six race of legends victories in a row.
Having confirmed his entry for the popular meeting on his own teams S1000RR BMW, it adds without a doubt a superstar factor to the line up in the open and race of legends encounters.
Armoy Road Races, Clerk of the Course, Bill Kennedy, is delighted that Michael will be competing this weekend:
“Michael wasn’t sure whether he could make Armoy due to other commitments but we are absolutely delighted that he is joining us.
He’s had some great wins this year, more recently four out of four at the Southern 100 and with wins at Walderstown and the Skerries and of course that great win at the Senior TT I’ve no doubt Michael will be on fine form at Armoy.”
In the last five years at Armoy, Michael has produced some of his finest performances on the roads, in the blue riband race of legends.
In my opinion his best feature win at Armoy, was in 2015 when still not fully fit from incidents at TT 2015 and the Southern 100, he battled his way to the way on his stock S1000RR BMW mount, to record race victory in front of factory backed Guy Martin on the Tyco BMW.

Will it be six feature wins in a row at Armoy? for multiple people and me included he starts favourite, to accomplish what would be yet another momentous feat, for a rider who this year has re established his roads authority.
Arguably the most iconic moment of the 2016 roads campaign to date, was during the opening lap of the RST Superbike TT, when he set the first lap time under 17 minutes around the incredible Mountain Course.
As I said time and time again, this rider proves the impossible is possible on multiple occasions, one thing is 100 percent guaranteed with him at Armoy, his sheer determination to record more wins at the meeting, which first began in 2009.
